They’re skiing out west. And I’m not.
Yes, I’m jealous. Because while the west is getting snow, all we’re getting is a gigantic hurricane moving up the east coast. Sure, the system brought snow to West Virginia and parts of the Appalachians. But here in Vermont, all we ended up with was rain, wind, and more wind.
We live where we live for a variety of reasons. I’m in the east because it’s where I grew up, where my family is, and where I’m most comfortable. I suppose I could move, but I love New England. And if it means giving up a bit when it comes to skiing, well, so be it.
All the same, I can’t help but drool when I see the pix from Tahoe, Montana, and Colorado.
